It’s only two days into the semester and I’m already starting to hate it. An 8 AM class Tuesday and Thursday, and then MWF I’ve got classes at 9, 10, 12, 1 and 2. I originally thought I’d hit the gym before classes in the morning, but I gave up on that this morning and decided to sleep in the extra half hour.

I realized today that after this semester, I’ll need to take Compiler Construction (CS445), three more liberal arts classes, and a few electives to satisfy graduation requirements. If I continue to take the maximum number of credit hours per semester for the next three, I should be able to squeeze in five or so graduate-level courses which would go a long way towards getting an M.S. in computer science here at Clarkson (that would mean another year in Potsdamn though&emdash;ugh!).

Well, one more day of fun / doing nothing and then it’s back to school. Guess I should make sure I start packing tomorrow or I’m going to be in trouble Tuesday morning. I suppose I should also finish getting my taxes in order so I can hand them off to my parent’s accountant (no way in hell I’m going to figure out what I owe three different states as well as the feds).

I went and saw Paycheck on Friday. It’s certainly not your typical John Woo film &emdash; the action was rather lacking. The overall plot was pretty neat, but as several reviewers have said, most of the film was one long, boring chase that you just wish would end. I definitely have to read some of PKD’s other work though. Anybody got any decent copies of his stories?
