Why does it cost twice as much?!

I love watching Lewis Black on The Daily Show. The full quotation that the title is based on is: “If that’s not dirtier than the F-word, then why does it cost twice as much?!” (or something close to that).
I haven’t been doing a whole lot lately. I wasn’t feeling too good during break, but I think I might finally be on the mend. Now that the Interweb is actually working here on campus I’ve been updating my box to the latest GNOME 2.6 release candidates. Too bad about the intrusion. Today would have been a good day otherwise.
I saw Edd Dumbill’s post on Planet Gnome. I think he’s got a pretty good point. I’d really like to get involved with GNOME development, but I think the documentation is a bit lacking and I haven’t found a project that I think I’d be able to make a serious commitment to. I started hacking on GNOME System Tools, trying to add Gentoo support (because Gentoo *seriously* needs some graphical configuration tools and I don’t really want to deal with Gentoo developers), but some of the stuff just doesn’t seem applicable to Gentoo so I’m not sure what to do.
Also been figuring out my class schedule for next fall. Looks like I might be taking 3 graduate level CS courses and 3 liberal arts classes, which means next spring I’ll probably take Compilers (CS445), Databases (EE468), and the math version of Crypto (CS456) because apparently I only need one more class to get a math minor.
Not much else going on…
